trans oil guide question

I have a 2g FWD trans that needs the plastic oil guide that brings oil to the 5th gear. Any idea on how universal they are. I have a friend with a 1g n/a fwd trans thats bad so I was thinking about taking the guide out of there. But I'd like to know if will work so I don't waste my time tearing it apart.

I just bought one from JNZ they are less than 10 bucks.
