Does anyone know if the mechanical lsd from a Starion can be swapped in to a DSM rear diff? I have a line on one for a good price. It'd be nice to upgrade from the viscous unit.

Not sure on the DSM rear. But, the 1g Monty guys snag those things all the time for their rear ends.

No. Different size crown wheel for starters. You would be after a mechanical Evo rear diff instead.

Dang, that's a shame. I've had an eye out for an EVO lsd, don't see a lot of them come up for sale in Canada.

Actually, just so the thread is clear. The 1g Montero guys grab these for their FRONT differentials. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
