VR4 - Rear Diff upgrades

And as you said Dialcaliper, there's no evo3 rear diff w/4WS, I've got the VR4 RS rear diff (3.909).. Wish I knew that before I ordered my tranny from shep. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Evo 1-3 are all the same rear diff as well.

not quite, Evo1 gsr's have viscous rear lsd's.

Evo1 rs' and all Evo2 and 3's (both gsr and rs) have mechanical rear lsd's

My evo 1 gsr had a mechanical type? The car was bone stock as well.

factory option perhaps?
have you checked on caps to see if it was definitely factory fitted?
seems like alot of things were available as options (my mates dead stock evo1rs had full sound deadening under the carpet like a gsr).

No I never did But it had a front lsd as well.

front lsd is definitely a factory option (quite rare too).
