Reasons for deleting ABS

1411 has working ABS, and it worked beautifully in snow and ice. It actually helped a great deal on icy Seattle area hills. 161/2000 it never worked and diagnosis was vague even with a MUT. I would have had to throw parts at it, and it looked like the lawnmower engine itself was possibly suspect. Cost prohibitive to deal with, so i just disabled it.

Since i'd already gone rounds with ABS diagnosis on 161, i simply deleted it from 555/1000 when i got it. Light was on and it's simply not worth the trouble to try and fix an already unreliable system.

mine worked fine, but i measured significant more stopping distance using quasi-scientific testing methods.

Anthony, when the light was on with 555... you didn't have a logger plugged in did you? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Magical 1992 feature haha.
