radio refurbishment?

My radio works and my CD player works, but only intermittently will sound come out. They don't appear to have every been removed, but I was wondering if there was a source to fix these guys. Or is it best to put them in a box for the next owner who wants a completely factory set up and put in a nice DoubleDin set up?
