Welcome. Seems like a lot of college kids are getting these now. Good luck on finishing school. The Celica you mentioned is bad ass. Too bad it didn't work out, but the Galant was a nice choice. Good list of mods already too.

Update:
One of the bearings in the block fused to one of the balance shafts. We originally thought the oil pump had field to the front cover. It looks like my only options from here are,

1) Do a balance shaft elimination kit, rod and main bearings, replace the oil cooler and hope the bearing that fused is the oil pump shaft one and not the opposite. (From what I understand it can be fixed if so).
Or
2) Buy a short block and start the build over.

If it happens to be option number 2 then, well I don't have the money to continue at that point and I will have lost a good 3 grand in trying to get it alive again.
