link loses connection durng start up

I can't find anything on this and doesn't seem right. I can connect to link but if car dies and I restart I have to restart connection. Can anybody confirm or deny?

Pretty sure that's normal, once power is lost, connection is lost.

Definitely normal. The start sequence cuts power to everything except anything needed to start the car.
