I'd try and find a shop that could do a leather quality rewrap. Mine looked worn 15 years ago with 100K under miles and garage kept. If you can find a clean one, power to you, but I changed to a 3G/EVO steering wheel that still looks fresh.

These wheels did not hold up well over time and were specific to this car only. The Galant GSX had a composite version of the same style wheel that held up much better to the test of time, but not everyone loves the way the non-leather wheels feel.
