ISC Coils

Hi,

Has anybody ever sourced a supply of replacement coils for the the ISC or any ideas where I might get one?

just find a whole isc for sale that is known to work and has been tested...

 

Where is the satisfaction in that? I want repair my old unit.

 

id like to hear how to do that as well.

I think I have 1 good coil in the 2 that are sitting on my shelf.

I would have to double check.

ive taken one apart before and have "repaired" one before and thats all the satifaction i need. if it goes bad again i wouldn't care to go that far id just buy the whole thing.

When you test a good coil, how many ohms is the tolerance?

I've read 28-33ohms for the original, 40ohms for the redesigned. Both work fine for vr4. Both have two mounting holes around the cylinder part - the redesign has extra material on one side of the mount hole area. I think they're darker in color at the plug too.

Open coils will result in increased ohms
