i have a question i have a galant vr4 1991 i guess production number is 1847 or 1897 something like that..

my tranny is grinding with downshifting to 1st and shifting to second..i guess its common i used to have a friend with a talon
tsi..and he had the same issue...

so my question is can i fit in a 95-98 talon awd/eclipse gsx tranny???

i found this one:

and i am really thinking in getting this one so i can fully rebuit the bad one and drive around with this one from ebay..

also another question,is it really hard to convert 1st gen maf to 2nd gen maf??

and can i have a bov vented to the atmosphere?? cause my friends talon sounded awesome!..he said he raised the boost in order
for the car not to shut off with the vented bov!?!

well thanks for your time and let me know what u guys know about my questions..

i believe the tranny will fit.... my friend is using a talon switchable tranny in his vr4.... 1g to 2g maf, easy... you just nid a wiring diagram for the convertion... vent to air bov, you need a maf-t for it, but if you realy want it vented but sacrifice high idle, you can

I made a thread about this long ago.

If your wanting to vent to the air don't bother with the 2g mas. Get you a GM and MAF translator.
