Headlight and parking light question

My headlights turn off, but not the parking lights when i take out the key and leave the headlight switch on.
Is the the general for Galant?

My 3000gt vr4 all the lights turn off when i take the key out, even if the switch is left on.
My Talon tsi, nope, it all stays on, been stranded few times with that bull.

This is standard operating procedure, yes. Pull the key and the headlights go out, parking lights remain on.

Most newer cars, all the light will turn off with the key off. It would be nice if ours would do the same

That's a pretty easy circuit to rewire.
