Throw it out. It's good your disclosing what happend and all, but it is not something that should be reused after that happens.

Honestly I thought the same thing until I was informed. This one actually came off my first spun motor and chalked it up as a loss, bought another one. Brand new one installed and machine shop made an error and spun that motor first 40 miles. I was pissed I had to toss out another oil cooler until I talked to my machining guy, then he explained it to me. It's a tube design inside and has no lips or anywhere for the metal to catch or get stuck.

Easiest way to put it, its no different then cleaning a block after a spun bearing. You just gonna toss the block? No, you're just going to clean it thoroughly. With that said, I have 1500 miles on my current build using the same oil cooler from my last spun bearing.

It's good you're honest about the spun beating. But for what they cost new, someone would have to be crazy to buy this
