This is a 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
(more pictures exterior/interior here... )
Engine bay looks like a stock GVR4, you've all seen that, right? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
This car lived in Daytona Beach, FL under one owner for most of its life. When the original owner got a new car, this one sat mostly unused for several years. I purchased this car in the fall of 2007 and drove it back to Bellevue, WA on a fun three-day trip averaging 25 mpg. This matches the new from factory advertised highway mpg. Pretty good for a car with 188K miles. On the other hand, 188K miles in 18 years is only about 10K per year average
With the exception of upgraded AGX adjustable struts, this car is completely STOCK. A rare find nowdays.
The interior has no rips in the leather seats, front or rear. This is one small section of seam on the rear seat this is unravelling for a couple inches. The stock casette radio still makes good sound. There are a few small bits and trim pieces missing, but you would hardly notice them.
The windows are tinted with a clear polarized film. It is peeling away in a couple places and should be removed and replaced with a standard tint.
This car does not have a sunroof.
Outside the car still wears the original Belize Green paint. Being a Florida car it suffers from failed clear coat on the trunk, roof and hood as well as rust in a few places. The leading edge of the hood has enough rust to make it unrepairable. The front and rear bumpers both have a small dent/puncture in them. And then there are the usual dings and dents from 18 years of service. The car would look much better with a new coat of paint.
The motor runs strong. The motor still has good compression and no visible smoke. Transmission is quiet with no trouble shifting into any gear.
The A/C doesn't seem to be cold. I have not had this looked into as Washington just isn't that warm so that A/C is manditory.
With the body work done this would again make a great daily driver or as is could make somebody a fine drag or autocross racer.
Clear title and licensed in WA. Car is currently in Bellevue, WA.
Price: $2500 or best offer
