SOLD!!!!

It's time for me to decide what to do with the car. I don't have time to work on it and it's taking up space.

I bought this car from my brother in 1999 (he was the original owner) with about 70k on the odometer. It now has about 180k. I have put a lot of work into making this a great daily driver. It handled and rode very well, spooled quickly, and was a great car to drive. Last year, the head gasket failed (during a test drive no less) and it has sat in my driveway waiting for me to make time for it. It isn't going to happen, so I'd rather sell it and have someone repair and use it.

It was in an accident several years ago and the work on the quarter panel was far from decent. The doors were also replaced and the crappy paint is peeling, showing the green door skkins. Other than that, the body is in decent shape.

Asking $2200 OBO

New rear quarter panel
"Oh Crap" handle for front passenger (parts are here, but it isn't in)
Small clips that hold grill in place (missing a few of them)

I think that a head gasket, water pump, intake and exhaust gaskets are all less than $500. A new quarter panel is about $700 installed and painted. The price seems fair. Any takers?

Probably the worst spot for rust:
Under2

More to come later. The hood is sort of frozen shut, so no engine pics yet. It's dirty but it wasn't overly rusty when it got parked.

Some pictures have been added. It's under about 5 inches of snow, so they aren't the best. No under car shots until some of the snow melts and I have more time to mess around. Engine pictures will also requires some meltage...

how bad is the head gasket, is it leaking oil, or burning coolant? does it have to be towed?

Definitely a tow or you can fix it in my driveway...It ran great right up to the point where it blew up. It limped about 1/4 mile to an exit, so it could drive up a flat bed.
