I have owned this car for around five years now (purchased with about 168k). I drive it every single day 90 miles round-trip. This car is basically stock, it is not fast. Do not come trying to test drive it. It isn't that fun. Save us both the time.
Mods:
No A/C
No Cruise (still intact)
No emissions (passed IL smog)
16g @ wastegate pressure (10psi)
Good:
I DRIVE THIS CAR 90 MILES EVERY DAY
Less than 4k on new tires
Rebuilt engine about 20k ago by myself.
New timing belt and timing components.
New engine gasket set.
New waterpump.
Lots of other random new stuff.
All dash lights, heat, radio, factory CD, antenna, windows work fine.
4 wheel steering still works.
Rebuilt ECU with replaced caps from SteveP from this board.
Bad:
Trans can be notchy. Not race ready, but completely suitable to daily drive.
Sunfade on roof
Missing a couple trim pieces around the front windshield
Stains on the headliner (doesn't sag)
Burns some oil
Small tear in the back seat
Exhaust leak at the downpipe (full factory exhaust)
Could use some wheel bearings/struts in the front
Brakes aren't the best
1992 factory wheels painted green/black
I am trying to list EVERYTHING wrong with the car so that you don't come and try to nitpick it. It is almost 20 years old and has some dings/scratches. As stated, I drive this car each and every day. It is reliable as hell. I recently got a new teaching job and I want to buy an automatic daily driver.
