Up for sale is my mint '91 rolling chassis. It comes complete minus ECU,trans, and engine. This car has been garaged as a roller for the last 8 years and has been kept in great condition while protected from the elements. I no longer have a need for it because I have lost interest in building a 2nd gvr4 to be mint--I'm perfectly happy with just keeping 889 as it is so 1247 needs to go. On to the details:
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
1991 Galant VR4
Chassis Miles: ~170k
The good:
1) Flawless interior (I have never seen softer leather gvr4 seats)
2) Momo Stearing wheel
3) DSG Delrin Shift knob
4) Fuel pump has been rewired (I think it has an upgraded Supra or Whinebro pump)
5) Battery has been professionally relocated to the trunk
6) Comes with sweet 3" turboback exhaust with enormous Hooker chamber twin tipped muffler
7) Excellent original paint
8) The car has had professional PDR work in the past, so there aren't dents to speak of
9) The car has an aftermarket stereo system with an nice aftermarket deck (old school, since it hasn't been on the road for 8 or so years). The only thing needed is to hook up your choice of amp and sub to the prewired sound system and enjoy. All the speakers are aftermarket and in good condition.
10) This has always been a southern car, so absolutely no rust to speak of.
11)This car comes with original key, key fob, dash plaque, and owners manual
The bad:
1) The front bumper has been cut to fit a large FMIC. This is not to everyone's taste. A JDM bumper would be a nice addition to an already fantastic car and would fix this quite nicely for those who don't like the look.
2) The hood has a few rock chips in the paint. These are minor, but noticeable. Again a little touch up paint would fix this or perhaps a CF hood if you are so inclined.
3) The wiring harness was modified for use with a Haltech ECU. This is reversible to work with a stock ECU with a little work, or you could purchase another wiring harness from a part out (overkill if you ask me).
Pictures: The car is dirty, but these are the only pictures I have at the moment. I'm away at school for 8 months of the year so getting new pictures is impossible right now.
I will be in Birmingham for Thanksgiving break (Nov. 24th-28th), Christmas Break (mid December through early January) and then summer break (June-August). My brother lives in the area and if I am not present will be able to show and sell the car on my behalf.
PM me for more details/contact information.
