First winter in Florida, 20w50 to thick for winter?

I used to run 15 40 in my turbo audi during the winter monthes here and I felt as it could have gone thinner for sure I would say rotella 5w40 would be ideal here as it has the cold start properties you need and it is thick enough when hot to use all year so as close as you can get to the best of both worlds.

Wow AK to Florida. Welcome. What part of fl? You will not feel cold for at least 3 years. I run 10w30 all year

I'm in fort Walton beach now, yeah the climate change is a little different lol. Cant wait for it to cool down.

I'm just outside of Orlando FL, and my Talon has seen nothing but Valvoline VR-1 20w-50 for the past 11 years. We MIGHT see a week worth of temps down to the 30's.

^ Exactly what I'm looking for. Not sure how much the weather differs from here and there, but should'nt be to much different. 20w50 vr-1 it is.
