If you took the time to bust out a Phillips screwdriver and a handy dandy 1/2 socet/wrench and undue the 4 Phillips case screws, you would see.


To answer nicely. Yes, most that haven't had a swap or a ECU leak have the Eprom Ecu.


Now check yours, if it hasn't had the caps replaced I suggest you get on it. Immediatly.

Won't be able to until saturday, which is why I thought i'd ask. So if it's a stock ECU, it is, correct?

yea most wont have the original, or it wouldnt have been rebuilt either...., most of the time if its still in the Side housing its a Eprom. I bought mine with a 91-94 non eprom. mine was lying on the floor.

Yes, stock would be eprom.


Could also have a keydiver chip for custom setups, there's also Jeykl,Ostrich...etcetc

When I picked mine up it had a remanufactured eprom with the capacitors were already replaced. Physically checking is the best route regardless.

If the ECU has an E on it, its is eprom.

Anything else its non-eprom.

577 has a non Eprom in a Eprom case.... so again Bruno is right.
