Engine rebuild question

Okay I am going to be putting my engine together and this week and I wanted to know when I put the mains on should I use sand paper on the clamping surface???? or what should I do. One more question, what is the best Balance shaft eliminate kit???? AMS maybe or who????

Buy the balance shaft delete kit straight from Mitsubishi. I believe the part numbers are at VFAQ.com under balance shaft delete.
