I am starting to give up on finding a authentic JDM RS hood. I might have to snag the next set of Evo 3 vents available for sale or see more details on the Evo X vents. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The evo X ones have me thinking now.

Eventually I'll the dealer and get a part number and pricing.

Might be a good way to go.

That is a sexy beast. I'm not sure if it's the lighting. You know what, it probably is the lighting. It looks great. GLWS

No I think it is just a professional respray. Most matte paint jobs are rattle can efforts and look at best like the car caught fire. This looks classy! If I can find somewhere that can do it as well as this, my project car will definitely get a matte paint job.

Paul,

I actually think what he did was plastidip it, which turns out quite nice and even. I'll be spraying mine down in the upcoming weeks here too until I can afford a real nice paintjob. Holds up well and doesn't look faded like primer jobs.

Even though I already have a real VR4 RS hood I would like to see how the X vents look on our cars

It doesn't look too bad.
Not sure how your fuse box is going to go with that air vent over top of it though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll just forward this message regarding the price. The turn around is a few days and they are willing to do custom stuff.

"the VR4, single matte color is $600 and then they can add things like gloss, pearl, metallics, wheels, etc. have then shoot me a message on my SPdips page or email me [email protected], thanks"

these guys are reasonable, open and go out their way! They even offered to drive my car back from De to MD which is a 2 hour drive.

Yea I asked for white with black trim. I assume 2 colors will cost a little more but over double is crazy. I figured they were overpriced... Since I can buy the kit as do it myself for a fraction.

I know it dip. However with your last comment, are you telling us other shops wanted to change $1500 for a plastidip job?

Considering I have basic spraygun skills I'm sure I could do it. My problem I just have a full time job, kid, and girlfriend xD
