I just got very excited to see pictures of my car " even though it will be for sale soon". But im glad I went with evo 3 vents instead of paying 500 plus for a dented up JDM hood "no offense to those that went with one".

btw anyone near DE check out SP Dips & Performance,or [email protected]

That is a sexy beast. I'm not sure if it's the lighting. You know what, it probably is the lighting. It looks great. GLWS

no offense to the JDM hood crew! I really had some bad interactions with some of the sellers on ebay about getting hood shipped here.

btw, I found the hood vents on www.evo123.net

It's something i wanted to do for a long time to be honest. Also, I wanted something nice to look at everyday before I leave for work if that makes sense.

side question: is our usdm VR4 hood the same as any old Galant hood? looking to pick up an unrusted one later on.

There may be a slight difference, depending on trim/year. There may not be an area up front that depresses the hood pin switch for the alarm system. The hood on 555/1000 has either been replaced with something aftermarket, or one from another galant that doesn't have this "feature". If you don't use the factory alarm, then it wouldn't be an issue anyway. Other than that, mine looks identical to any other 6g hood. The only reason i know this, is because i wanted to use the factory hoodpin switch for my Clifford alarm. Couldn't do it.

Looks good! I to was looking to do evo3 vents, but came across a pair of evoX hood vents! Same design, just wider and not as tall. Will share pics when mines get put on sometime soon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
