Carrier Bearing VS A/C Bracket

I have what I thought to be a GVR4 A/C bracket but when hooking up my intermediate shaft (carrier bearing) the bracket bolt holes were to far apart. So, is this bracket wrong or the bearing?

(Bearing holes are closer together then the A/C bracket holes)

Only one of the two bolts holding the carrier bearing down go through the A/C bracket. The other one goes straight into the block.

You'll see what I mean when you hold the A/C bracket up to the block.

What Barnes said.

Assuming you've removed your A/C already, there's no reason to put that heavy iron bracket back in. Either use a spacer for the 1 bolt on the carrier or what I did was to cut the spacer right off the bracket and use that. Every bit of weight savings counts!

they sell a spacer for like 3 dollars at the dealership, my other post has the part number, if you still have the ac bracket theres no reason to buy a spacer.
