bad egr valve equals nasty boost leak???

so my questions simple as the post says i boost checked my 926 and at less than 5psi its leaking from my egr valve i think??? can i block it off and still pass emissions? or should i just replace it

You can install a block off gasket and keep the sensor. Obd1 is usually a visual check. It won't affect your tune

 

1517 passed sans EGR. Mine is still physically there to pass the visual, but it is blocked off.

 

so should i just block off the vac line to the egr????

 

No, there is an EGR block off plate.

This is just one example. A lot of people make their own.
