adapter for American plate to Japanese license plate holes?

How did you put your license plate on? I've been searching online for a adapter but mostly see one for a Subaru which is $50? I'm not trying to be cheap but I think $50 for an adapter is just ridiculous lol. I might see if I can make some type of adapter by hitting my local Home Depot but if I can order something online to make it look more OEM I'd opt for that.

Yeah that was an option I didn't really want to use, the plate looks so clean as a "classic plate" - it may also just be my ocd lol

Use the factory front plate holder? Not sure if the USDM factory bracket fits the JDM bumper though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
