1g fuel sending unit same as GVR4?

Is the 1g fuel sending unit the same as the GVR4? Mine is broke.

Short answer, no. Can it be modified or made to work? Don't know.

The vr4 unit is shorter. You can modify a 1g one to work.

Cool thank for the link, the problem for me, is that previous owner decided to take the unit out for what ever reason. So i have a hole in my tank where the sender should be.

 

Hey, I was wondering how much they charged for that rebuilt unit. It looks like they did a real nice job, and mine is leaking so I need one. Could you clue me in as to what it might cost me? Thanks!

I paid $150.00 for there work. You have to pay shipping there and back. They did a great job.
