  1. FS: Hartford, WI House 3.5 car garage

I like it here. Always nice to let some steam off and cruise through the kettle. We're staying in the area, we have an accepted offer on another place already, just need to get our place sold.
  2. What's up with this mess?

I probably will never by an act clutch again. Seems there quality control isn't there. Had an ACT 2100 that had 5000 miles on it and almost all the fingers on the pressure plate broke off.

  4. Cadillac CTS V calipers

Has anyone checked the rotor offset with the cobras? You can get away with Evo 10 rotors but you have to turn the outside down to get them to fit and shim out the rotor about .150 to get the offset correct.
  5. Hello from New Zealand

Welcome, Limited release in the states. But you guys get all the good cars. While all we have to work with is push rods and front wheel drive.
  6. WTB: 16g internal wastegate actuator

Might have a turbosmart one laying around I will ask.
  7. 936/1000 progress report

It sticks out like a sore thumb that is probably why. Just was wondering that is all.
  8. 936/1000 progress report

A 1g BOV seems pretty small for that size of a turbo?
  9. FS: Gauge interest group buy Front air diverter

I will get a hold of the guy that is doing the carbon fiber for me and see where he is at on these. A couple weeks back he was going to make one that I could mock up on my car and get these ready to go.
  10. 909/1000 Build thread

Anyone on here have a sticker cutter that can cut me the Enkei logo for these wheels? The Dimension are 3/4" x 3" long. I don't need them to be the 2 tone color all black would be fine.
  11. 909/1000 Build thread

Wheels all cleaned up and powdercoated.
  12. 909/1000 Build thread

Our Fabricator Finished up a crash beam for me this weekend and also the rest of my intercooler piping. Got the bumper cover on which I have not seen a about 4 yearsI didn't feel like waiting for a BOV flange so I ended up making one.

Quoting MellowVR4: HMMMMMMMM, 5hr drive for me............maybe maybeTake the Ferry. Either one. The one out of manitowoc is kinda nice actually. We would take it to go to silver lake. Sleep on the deck over night. The best sleep I have had. Until they blow the fog horn at 5am and make you...

  16. 909/1000 Build thread

Evo 8/9 are out because the diameter is too small. Evo 10 will work with a little machining.
  17. 909/1000 Build thread

I know some people are trying to figure out a rear brake swap option that will have the parking brake included. I don't know if anyone as succeeded or not.
  18. 909/1000 Build thread

I was able to cut the rotors last night and get the proper offset for the rotor.I had to cut the OD of the rotor to 13.400 and add a 4mm (.157) between the hub and the rotor. And it fits perfect with good clearance on a EVO 8 Enkei.TurboDSM What I would do if you go with the Cobra rotors is...
  19. 909/1000 Build thread

Rotors will be in tonight. I am going to get them fitted up tomorrow night.
  20. K-Tuned 90mm TB

Does that IAC work with ecmlink...the reason I ask is because this seems so simple that if I can use that with ecmlink I am just going make my one TB.
  21. 909/1000 Build thread

I should have taken a picture of it last night. They caliper didn't quite bolt on it was like .03 to .04 of interference on the inside of the caliper. I will just chuck it up in the lathe and take some off the outside and it will fit. I am just waiting to get paid tomorrow so I can pick up a...
  22. 909/1000 Build thread

I tried the Evo X rotors out last night and they fit in a evo 8 enkeis. I will have to take a little off the outside (.100 or so) but they will work. It will bring the rotor to 13.6 or so but I will be able to get complete pad contact.
  23. 909/1000 Build thread

I am going to look at Evo 10 rotors. They are 350mm in diameter. It will be a different spacing but nothing trying it can't hurt.
  24. 909/1000 Build thread

That is pretty much what I am going off of at this point just not sure what rotors they are using. I'm curious about the cobra rotors now.
  25. 909/1000 Build thread

    Quit ruining my dreams
  26. 909/1000 Build thread

OE Evo 8/9 rotors. I put the wheel bearings and seals in last night. I did some measurements off of a stock Evo 8/9 hub and knuckle and right now it looks like im going to need a .07 spacer between the rotor and hub but i am going to get a set of rotors and confirm this. I also checked clearance...
  27. FS: Gauge interest group buy Front air diverter

I am going to make one by hand out of aluminum plate for fittment. After that I have been talking to a guy that does carbon fiber and he is willing to make them. Probably run .125 thick which will be more than sturdy enough and then go with the JDM fender washers and flat head screws.

Don't think I forgot about you guys
  29. 909/1000 Build thread

  30. 909/1000 Build thread

I got some hardware for the calipers and mounted them up. I am going to order wheel bearings and grab an Evo rotor and my Evo enkeis and mock this up to make sure what offsets I need to do and get something made up.Once I have everything figured out on these I will probably do a How-to on...

Quoting GSTwithPSI: Easy peasy says the guy with a CNC machine at his disposal.I envy you...One of the best fields you can get into right now. There are so many jobs out there its unreal. I could have 3 or 4 jobs tomorrow if I wanted. Also you can make very good money doing it.
  32. 909/1000 Build thread

If its the case of just wheel spacers this is going to be easy peasy. Thanks for the link. This might work out better than I had thought.
  33. 909/1000 Build thread

I check the bolt spread to the stock calipers and it matches up but I have a feeling I am going to need to extend them out from the knuckle a bit.
  34. 909/1000 Build thread

Here you are. CTS-V calipers. See if I can't get these mocked up this weekend They are a little scratched up being tossed around in a bin. I bought them off of a guy at work.
  35. gasketing question

RTV is a cancer in my opinion. The only place that it should be used is on an oil pan. Gaskets are cheap and much cleaner.
  36. 936/1000 progress report

The best way would be a dial bore gage. Most people are not going to have that equipment. The other way would be with telescope gages and a micrometer. Calipers are not accurate enough. On another note. You can go 9:1 pistons with that turbo and the boost that you want to run. You just need...
  37. 936/1000 progress report

Raising the compression will always get you more power. How much pressure are you planning on running? Even on 9.0 to 1 you will have no problem running 35 psi on E85.
  38. Quite possibly a build thread..

Good job man, I have always been jealous of people that can hand fabricate. Its one thing that I wish I could do.

  40. 909/1000 Build thread

The price is not going to reflect what it would actually cost considering I got the materials at cost and Andrew owed me work so the labor was free.
  41. 909/1000 Build thread

Custom manifold that Andrew at MAP built for me.
  42. 909/1000 Build thread

Haven't posted progress in a while. Got the turbo in manifold ported started on the fuel lines. Probably going to be ordering a TB this week and then I can finish up the pipeing.

  44. metric pipe plugs

Quoting iceman69510: Not necessarily tapered. NPT is tapered, thus the name, National Pipe, tapered. BSP which is typically used by the Japanese, is parallel thread. Doing some checking this afternoon, I see some comments about metric pipe thread (DIN actually) is possibly slightly tapered...
  45. Thank you Hertz & Galantvr4.org

Quoting Risingsplendor: Thanks Iceman69510, I say $15k because everything feels pretty worn out, I don't want to drop 3 to 4k on trans to have my T-Case or AWD go a few month later, I would kind of like to redo everything in the drive train at once, I feel that it is more cost effective...
