I should add, since there was a good point posted above by flyingeagle, I had the head done at one shop and I didn't trust their valve work so I had the head checked by a more reputable shop that is known for 4g63 work. they did find a few leaky valves an they were fixed. I didn't want to sell...

if you are interested I have a fresh rebuilt head with a light port, 1mm over valves, kiggley springs. head is fresh and un used since refresh. I will not be using it.

i'm trying to go but even though i finally just got my galant running not sure if i'll be taking it or not. we will see how the car goes from now till then!

how does the pedal pressure feel on this new single disc clutch? I have my car going but have a weak clutch in it debating if i want to sell my twin and get a single set up. kinda scared to put the twin back in.

arp studs are from alsip il? thats like 10 min from my house? I wonder if that is just packing for the studs..... i've never seen that when i've opened a package of arp studs?

i would put a fuel pressure guage on it and see how quickly the pressure drops after the car is turned off..... this sounds like the issues i have been having w/ cars at nissan lately. the fuel pressure regulator dumps all the pressure w/ in 2 minutes and will cause intermitten long crank.

i think he means set your two step make sure it is working... while the car is running then set a code, unplug a sensor till the SES light comes on. turn car off let it sit the normal time you let it sit. plug the sensor in turn the car on see if code is still there. If not your probably...

I have the ETS intercooler set up on my car, but now building a separate motor w/ a totally different intake and turbo set up. Does anyone know if ETS mad a short route piping set up for our cars? I'm going to call during the week to find out but thought someone on the site may know about...

I go w/ a snap on line wrench and definitely use the torch if they are seized. the torch is your friend for old rusty cars.

wow that is super super cheap. i wish i hadn't bought my set up already.

I suggest gravity bleed for a little while, then making or buying a one man bleeder cup from sears. I always bleed the clutch by myself and the cup has worked flawlessly and gets the job done w/ in 20 minutes.

a mitsubishi 4g63 gasket is .051. I don't know about your other vehicle.

ive learned over the years that if it feels like a drive shaft issue and the drive shaft feels ok all hooked up you better just remove it to ensure that the joints are moving freely and not stiff.

well as of now it looks like i'll be chancing driving the galant, it still has a bad engine in it, but if it rains and my friend has to work saturday then i'll be taking his car so i can get it tuned while we are at mod. I'd have to drop the evo off before the demo derby... I got rear ended in...

good thing you caught it before the outer ring ate all the way through to the timing belt. cheaper to replace the lower cover and damper than pulling the head and replacing the valves!

i can't hang out too long after MOD i'm going to a demolition derby at rt 66. I'm not sure if i'm driving my galant or an evo 9 i recently finished building. i guess it will be a suprise. i'll find out friday night before MOD!
