  2. Boost Gauge install

We run our blow off valve off of the vacuum block, with speed density. I don't see why an HKS one would be different, then again I would not put that junk on a car I own. That is for sure. If I cannot hookup an Army/Navy or JIC fitting to my blow off valve, I am not interested in it. Those HKS...
  3. Boost Gauge install

Would have been easier to use a vacuum distribution block mike. Or use the existing holes on either side of the intake that have plugs in them from the factory just waiting for you to use them.We run everything off of a single distribution block and have had no issues up to 1000hp so far.
  4. FS: 97+ camshaft and crankshaft position sensors

Can anyone use these? Make an offer
  5. New Owner of 1837/2000

Sorry that rice is not my main course for every meal every day. Does running three fuel pumps really sound like a smart and logical solution for a low output street car that spends more time hard parking than being used to its potential? 25lbs of bullshit in a 5lb bag is not the answer unless...
  6. New Owner of 1837/2000

It is called volumetric efficiency. The higher you spin the motor, the larger and air pump it becomes. Which in turn will decrease your restrction. No amount of money or science you throw at the car will fix you having a baby turbo. The only chance you have is putting an external wastegate in...
  7. FS: 97+ camshaft and crankshaft position sensors

Our car runs a 1G can angle sensor so these are of no use to us.Cam angle sensor with housing- $45 shipped with fees Crank angle sensor- $45 shipped with feesSteven 720-483-9375
  8. just need to know if this is a 3 or 4 bolt rear end (pic)

The differentials say LSD right on them. If it has popup headlights and has not been modified then they are 3 bolt rear ends.

Not everyone needs 14 fuel pumps to feed their 16g.A local Fed his surge tank for his mechanical fuel pump with a factory supra fuel pump. 800hp true full weight street car. Ran 145mph@ 3500lbs.
  10. Oil filters

I run Mazda rx8 wix filters. Never seems to be a shortage anywhere. I prefer the tiny filters and only play with race cars. No gay street wannabe here.

  14. FS: 1967 mercedes 200 commerce city, co $2,200/obo

You have to be different. There are all kinds of neat cars out there that interest me. I like challenges and enjoy trying new things. Putting them back on the road is just as important to me these days. Old cars interest me more than any new car on the road. I honestly don't know a thing about...

  20. Main bearing cap alignment dowels

We walked a 7 bolt with these dowels. First build made it 18,000 miles. Refreshed the motor and it walked almost immediately. We had a lot of engines in and out of the car that were seven bolt. It was abouta 50% rate they were walking over the course of about 6 years. He finally gave up and went...

  22. Reasons for deleting ABS

Or the easiest solution. Pull the light from the back of the cluster.
  23. Upgraded Camshaft and Base Timing

Having a high idle also promotes better oil pressure at idle naturally. We have one car that idles quite high to maintain both hot and cold oil pressures as a "normal" idle from his engines see very, very low pressure at idle. We verified both with a mechanical gauge and his electronic gauge. I...
  24. Upgraded Camshaft and Base Timing

Raise the idle. 1100-1500. Problem solved. Degreeing your cams to zero according to what the manufacturer asks for will make a difference as well and put your timing events at the correct time.
  25. Is this piston useable?

We have made over 800hp with much worse. Smooth/grind the ding down and go nuts. Don't be scared.
  26. Oil pan fix.

Certainly the wrong way to rig this up. Much better and safer solutions. All of which involve removing the oil pan and doing it the proper way.
  27. Autometer boost gauge is fluttering at WoT

Normal operation. Smaller the turbo, the more pronounced. The more inferior the wastegate control (internal vs external and big versus small) the more pronounced.Basically, if your drive pressures suck, a mechanical gauge will jump around. The higher the sampling rate your datalogger has the...
  28. FS: 6 bolt FWD chromoly flywheel

This is a brand new part that has not seen any service other than bolting to an engine. It has never seen a load or had a disc slip on it. It is a one piece XTD chromoly flywheel. We are moving to a multiplate clutch this year in hopes of being able to shift near 10,000rpm. So we won't have a...
  29. Two emails from "Jeffrey Johnson"

I just got the same thing as well.
  30. rod burn

  32. Who's using 1650 low z Injectors

Garbage. Don't waste your time. Two sets later we went back to the ford 1600's.
  33. Making the swap from pump to E85

Dot certified scale. Pretty sure it is right on. 338/2000 is down to 2910 and is not that gutted. Not my fault you all are fat asses.
  34. Making the swap from pump to E85

They built an auto AWD one that weighs less than what you listed as well. I trust the scale versus an online source.
  35. Making the swap from pump to E85

The figure is accurate. After we street tuned it, not dyno tuned it, we hit up the the truck stop scale on the way back from our tuning road. The scale is always within 5-10 pounds of the scale at our local NHRA track. It only reads in 20lb increments as the track reads in 5lb increments.
  36. Making the swap from pump to E85

Try spark plugs, cylinder head temps, individual wideband feedback, exhaust backpressure and any number of things real race cars have. Some of us have branched out and learned other platforms and other tuning solutions. It took us six weeks and 400-500 dyno pulls to learn AEM infinity on the fly...
  37. Making the swap from pump to E85

The fact that we have been using the fuel since 2005 and have tuned 75+ mitsubishis on it. If you are looking for repeatable, and reliable performance, you will leave it in the 11's and not listen to others advice on the timing. Once you get into more advanced tuning that involves using tools...
  38. Making the swap from pump to E85

Leave it in the mid 11's.
