    1993 expo trans

None of these transmissions are good for big power. That said - keep the trans clean and replace the worn out gears and bearings when needed. If your going for over 400whp and you drive like me - don't expect any transmission to last unless its a dogbox. Even then you need to maintain and...

You can use a Galant VR4 or 1G pipe on the turbo and buy a 90 degree coupler or use some other pipe you have laying around to make the connections. Are you still using the stock intercooler?

    brake question. one locks up

If it's not the check valve -- Which is what it most likely sounds like it is then it could be air in your lines and that that caliper is sticking or the hardware is sticking. It's most likely a combination of both but it sounds like it is a bad check valve or the valve is in backwards.

Newbie here with a kind of sad story.

If you can find a front wheel drive Eclipse GSX turbo you can swap over the whole drive line and wiring harness. You will have to use all of the motor mounts from the Eclipse and the front spindles, A arms, axles, brakes... everything. You will need to swap the wiring under the dash for the...

    Methanol kit recommendation

The water collected in the daily driven cars but guys were spraying as soon as it hit full boost 14-16 PSI. 20-22 PSI on a chipped tune was big boost on the GN back then and the air had to be cooled to prevent detonation. I don't think you will have any issues spraying the piss out of your...

    Methanol kit recommendation

The condensation from the compressed air mixing with the meth will cause ice to form on the piping and the inter-cooler and leaves buildup. The Pro-charger guys only have a short pipe running to there intake and take their cars apart all the time so no way a buildup would happen. The little...

    Methanol kit recommendation

Whatever you do don't use any stupid kit as shown below. Only spray a little before the throttle body or in the intake manifold. If you spray before those area's you can retain fluid and it will build up in the system overtime. Unless you want to take your pipes and inter-cooler off all of...

Injectors not firing on BMW E30 4G63 swap, MPI related?

Look a little closer. It looks like you have two caps that blew. The one by the injector board and the smaller on at the top. Take a good look with a magnifying glass to see all around those areas.

Need help please!!! ECU issue or not?

galantvr4503 do you have a lightened flywheel on the car and are you venting to the atmosphere instead of recirculating? These two things make it hard to keep the engine running at a good idle and after a high revving run or just pushing in the clutch to slow down at a light. You have to have...

how do i tune this out?

I want to make sure that your fuel pressure is set at a good baseline of around 36-45 PSI depending on the injectors but if your using the stock regulator you have no clue what the fuel pressure is and what its holding at while running WOT. You might see a drop in fuel pressure in the RPM range...
  40. OldHairyBastard

how do i tune this out?

What's your base fuel pressure set to? Make sure the regulator vacuum line is hooked up and not leaking so that it will rise with the boost pressure.
  41. OldHairyBastard

Still fighting bouncy WOT values (FINAL)

To me it looks like either the CAS or you might not have enough fuel in the tank that causes a loss of fuel pressure. Check all your connections and maybe test and or replace your CAS with another unit for testing. Either won't take that long and will tell you right away if it was the CAS so...

    Car dies on warm idle

I would leave the idle above the 1K then. That's not a bad idle. Why do you want it under 1K for? Nothing is wrong with that. The AC should kick the RPM's up just a bit if the solenoid on your TB still works and the wiring is in place.

    Car dies on warm idle

Sometimes the coils are bad and they spec out to be good. My guess is that you have a lightened flywheel and this won't help with idle. Have you tried adjusting your idle air screw (BISS) to see if that can hold your idle better? All the way down might not be the best.

"I could go with full coilovers from DGR racing (DGR is a solid brand, I run them on my BMW). Does anyone know if there is a bushing kit I can buy online for the car?"If your used to a coil over I would go with that setup. There are several bushing kits out there and some people sell them...

    Fuel set-up for ~600whp

93 won't cut it and Meth might not get you there either. You can use race fuel to do it but you'll have to put it back to a street tune on 93 when you're not using the good stuff. All you can do is try and see how far you can safely take it up to.
