Just changed out my running engine due to low compression. Opted for JDM Replacement and now looking to sell old parts. Great block for rebuild. Pick-up only. Parts are at local shop in Hawthorne Ca. 90250.

Just got off the phone with the engine supplier and he mentioned a couple things. 1. The engine may have sat for a while and that synthetic oil can leave a film and moisture can adhere to it. 2. Bad turbo. 3. Bad valve guides. 4. PCV lines routed incorrectly. He said he had the same issue...

My issue with the engine is that it took more that 30 days to install. Also, I need to consider all the cost of removal and re-installation.

How can I tell what final drive ratio I have on the JDM tranny?

I did notice a few more hoses on my CA smog intake manifold. I'm thinking that the original ECU should stay also. Is the JDM ECU much different?

Sorry to say, but this car is no longer for sale . Dad sold his GVR4 (387/1000) for a nice sum and this baby is back in SoCal as his new DD . I will take care of it until my son returns from Taiwan in 2 years.
