Just called the dss and the said try to rotate the aluminum shaft 180 degrees. That everything is balanced and shouldn't have to be balance when assembled to existing shaft.

It is dss and I don't think there was any balancing that we did. It seems like it really only does it bad around 4k rpm. Full throttle isn't near as bad as slow driving.

I have thought about that but most mechanics here just give up easy when there's a problem like this. I definitely don't want to invest in one but I will see if I can find someone who had one! Anyone know the intermediate shaft part number? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anyone know if the intermediate shaft goes bad? Also can I get a new one? I'm so at a loss on this I'm ready to buy cheaper parts to try to get somewhere with this vibration

The ac bracket is still in tack. I'm assuming the jack shaft is the Trans to driver side front axle extension? Do you have any info on this because I was at a loss as to how to check anything on it.

I don't think any additional balancing happened I was told it should bolt up fine as is.

I think the main reason the clutch was slipping bad at first was because the car had been sitting for years without being ran. If I pull the Trans I'll probably rebuild it too because the synchros are bad. I guess my main scare is doing all that work and it still vibrates lol

newbie threadHello everyoneveryone! Fist off I've been living my gvr4 but I have put a new aluminum drive shaft, front axles and changed out my front motor mount and can not get this vibration I have gone. It only does it under mild acceleration and seems to be not near as bad at wide open...

there is no movement whatsoever in the shifter. Id like to replace the rear axles or apparently rebuild them? just not sure where to even start on them or if its a waste of time.

I am also looking to replace my rear axles but can't find them anywhere.

No the shifter isn't vibrating it's like a shudder throughout the car. The vibration seems to be mid throttle accelerating. Light cruise it's okay and wide open its ok.

I have a brand new drive shaft shop aluminum ds with new carrier bearing and torque solutions carrier mount kit. The rear existing shaft also got a new u joint.

just installed the ts front motor mount there still is some vibration so im guessing at this point all i can think of is its a warped flywheel so until the clutch gets worse looks like a new one and probably a trans and transfer case rebuild while its all out. Which leads me to my next...

yup! the front axles helped but i just seen the front mount is resting on the front rad support! Got a torque solutions on the way

Another update! I installed new front axles and it did help a lot. The vibration is still there guess im going to have to do some more prying. Anyone got any suggestions?

gaps are fine on the spark plugs i just checked them. I dont think its the harmonic balancer because when i feel the vibration going down the road and put it in neutral it goes away. The only thing i think i could be is the clutch because it slips in 4th at full power but the low gears its fine...

we ran a separate ground from the motor bolt to the green and white wire and now everything works great. Minus the driver side panel which wont operate either passenger side doors down but it will roll both up. I dont think im getting 12v when i try to roll them down from the driver side panel...

ok more problems ... So my back passenger window will roll down from the back passenger door, it did roll down with the driver side unit too but it just stopped working during this mess up lol.. So my question is in the back passenger door its getting all the power up and down but will not roll...

Ok it was a wire broke! come to find out the switch on the driver side (for the passanger window) is messed up. It will roll the window down but not up.

after shaking the drive shaft im almost positive that my vibration is coming from my intermediate carrier bearing! Going to take it out and have a local ds shop hopefully change out everything. i ordered two carrier bearings just wondering if i should order the updated recall yoke kits washers...

minimal under light driving but its there nothing like under acceleration. Like i said i bet these are the factory struts with 153k on the clock so once i get that changed i hope it will clear it up. plus im obviously going to wait to align then. Parts should be here in the next week or so...

shaking when boost comes on. seems to go away at higher speeds. it pretty noticeable as my passangers are saying, "whats that shaking" so i guess its a shaking/ vibration. Sorry its sort of hard to describe honestly, hope this helps.

i changed the fluid last night and went on one drive. the oil was burnt and smelled well like burnt gear oil. didnt seem to puke out as much fluid as it did before. only drove around the block
