    WTB: 22-spline output shaft

Looking for a 22-spline output shaft in good condition. The last one I received had some pitting in the sealing surface and it was enough to allow it to leak...again. TIA.

New clutch, flywheel, transmission R&R and car is stalling in neutral

So a little update. The input shaft was spinning constantly, as I assumed, but not due to a broken shift rod, shift fork, or shift rail end. I removed the end nut on the input shaft and found the shaft was now idle (not moving) when the shift levers were in the neutral position. When I put...

New clutch, flywheel, transmission R&R and car is stalling in neutral

Alright so I cracked my bell housing a few months back and decided to replace some worn components during the teardown and and rebuild.I replaced shims, seals, ect as the syncros and gear sets still seemed to be in pretty good condition. I ran into a few issues, as it was my first DSM...

    WTB: Driver's side fender

So I got sideswiped a few weeks back by a giant truck. Fortunately only the driver's door, fender, and corner lamp were damaged. I sourced a door from, what seems to be, the only Galant within reasonable driving distance, but I still need a fender shipped to 89502. Any help is greatly...

WTB: 2.5" DSM BOV flange pipe

I'm in the process of a FMIC install and I'm looking to pick up the 2.5" tubing with the 1g BOV already welded. Aluminum would be preferred. I know I could buy the 45* pipe with the flange pre-fabbed/welded, but I'm trying to avoid the $70-90 it costs and my flux core welder won't suffice for...

    Driveshaft Rebuild

Thanks man. I definitely want to do some mild track days (1/4 mile and auto-x) so I'm torn. If by chance I did end up doing this could I fill then while they're off the car or would that cause a drying issue? It seems as long as they're level while they dry there's no chance of them drying...

    Driveshaft Rebuild

Quoting EgonOlsen: Feel free to post pics of the rebuild, since im pretty sure I have to do this soon also. Kinda think that sound that reminds me of brakes hanging but isn't is prolly the bearings in the driveshaft.Check out Jafromobile on YouTube. He has a full video walk-through and he's...

    Driveshaft Rebuild

Not to mention, the DSS only replaces the front 2 shafts so you'd still have one of the carrier bearings to replace and a set of joints.

    Driveshaft Rebuild

That's kind of what I assumed, but I wanted to be sure since I'd have easy access to everything while it's off the car. And as for the lobro, I've had the driveshaft off already and the dust boot isn't torn so as long as all of the ball bearings check out I'll reuse the old one (as per...

    Driveshaft Rebuild

So I just ordered the rebuild kit from JNZ and I'll be tackling it early next week. My question is would it be beneficial to do this: click or is it just something that's a fix for previously worn carrier bearings? It seems like it may have some added benefit even for a new bearing, but I'd...

    New Member introduction

Not too too bad rust-wise. Everything else looks pretty solid. I have a similar front mount I'm mocking up too. I was thinking about flipping and trying to run the short route piping. Looking good though! Good luck with the restore!

    New Member introduction

Welcome! Finding one with rust ONLY on the rockers in PA is pretty amazing. I'm from outside of Pittsburgh originally and everything had some sort of cancer. Now that I'm on the west, I just have to worry about oxidization. Looking forward to some progress pics!

    Battery relocation

I just built a mount for the trunk, but now I'm considering keeping it under the hood after something I saw on here. Someone used an Odyssey and mounted it in the stock location, but moved it directly below the under hood fuse box. It allows room for the filter and intake tube (I think it was a...

    Headlight connectors missing?

So after further inspection (removing tape on the main harness that runs behind the radiator support) I found this:The red and red with blue tracer are for the high beam circuit, correct? I have a diagram somewhere, but I was trying to avoid reading wiring diagrams

    Wheel and tire combo question

Yeah transparent, I found another thread discussing tire selection and noticed Thomas had found these (good find, thank you). I really only plan on running the Volks in the summer so 15-20k is plenty and it's pretty dry here in the high desert so I'm not too worried about how they'll perform in...

    Headlight connectors missing?

I feel a bit ridiculous for even asking this, but are we supposed to have separate connectors for the high and low beam bulbs? I have one on each side (for the outside bulbs) and there's no harness for the inner bulb. From what I've read they're 2 different bulbs rather than a dual filament. I'm...

Sorry I'm new here, but Want to delete 4ws, and alot to wade thru...

1220 had the 4WS (partially) removed when I got it, but I decided to remove the whole system (rack and ALL lines). It's definitely messy, but if you take your time and do it right I think it's worth it. Congrats on the new whip.

    Wheel and tire combo question

Yeah it seems I'll be doing a bit more research before I make a final decision. And 1dvsdsm, I'm kinda partial to my Volks. The difference in price isn't really that much of a concern to me.I'm finding the spec sheets from the manufacturers on Tire Rack are quite helpful (as well as the info...

    Wheel and tire combo question

From what I've read it seems the widest recommended tire for a 7" wheel is 215 (if I maintain a sidewall height of 45). It looks like overall tire diameter for stockies is somewhere around 24.2" and the 215/45-17 would be 24.6", while the 215/40-17 is approximately 23.7" so going with the 45...
