Enough interest already. I will update if no one takes them.
  2. FREE: Free DSM transmissions for pickup in the Fredericksburg, VA area

Local Pickup OnlyI have the below 3 transmissions that need to be picked up. You must pick them all up, take them with you, and then go about your day. If you don't take all 3, you waive your right to take any of them. You must wear a mask when arriving and observe social distancing. This...
  3. Gas needle not reading full on full tank after replacing fuel pump.

Thanks, will check the resistance values. I think that is all that is left. Arm sits exactly where it should.
  4. Which radiator?

Unsure, but good find on that thread. So what is it that makes you lose A/C by using a 1g radiator? Does it have something to do with that connector on the thermostat housing for the GVR4? If so, previous owner left that harness disconnected and AC works fine.
  5. Which radiator?

Thanks guys. You have to delete your AC to go the 1g route? Are you sure. I won't go without A/C.The Amazon radiator looks like it has the bung but I am worried about fan spacing. That radiator is also sold on ebay and not sure if they are all the same but a quick search seems to show people...
  6. Which radiator?

It is time to replace my stocker and I'd like to replace it with an aluminum one. I have a 1g mishimoto laying around along with a 1g parts car to pull the thermo housing from.I'd also like to keep my A/C. I have read the posts here on how to make the swap. Is there another better option...
  7. Gas needle not reading full on full tank after replacing fuel pump.

Thanks everyone. I am clocking it correctly. I just replaced the wally 190lph with a 255lph and no change unfortunately after reinstallation. I guess I'll just live with it.
  8. Gas needle not reading full on full tank after replacing fuel pump.

The float arm isn't bent at all though.
  9. Gas needle not reading full on full tank after replacing fuel pump.

It reads somewhere like 5/8 full on a full tank. I searched around here and noticed that I am not alone. It has been like this since I replaced the stock fuel pump with a Wally 190 about 3 years ago. I finally have a little bit more time on my hands and replaced the pump with a Wally 255 I had...
  10. Silver strip on the doors and bumpers...some questions about it.

I plasti dipped my entire car and I am having trouble getting the sprayer to cover those silver strips from not only a coverage perspective (hard to get the plastidip in there to cover the strips) but from an adhesion perspective (plastidip not sticking very well to those strips).I guess my...
  11. Ratcheting noise coming from the rear when turning.

Thanks man. I'll go investigate when I can find more time...always something!
  12. Ratcheting noise coming from the rear when turning.

I am getting a bad cv joint like noise from the right rear when making right turns whether it be slow or fast. The car sat for a long time.I have a 3 bolt LSD on it at present and a 4 bolt sitting on a donor car...however I'd rather just keep the 3 bolt if possible. What might this be...
  13. FS: Clear headlight protectors for '93 headlights

Just wanted to say that I got around to installing these. They arrived fast, were well packaged, and were nicely cut. Laid down beautifully. The seller was polite and informative every step of the way.For me it was the thought of having to replace my 93 lights that have perfect reflectors...
  14. Rear calipers replaced and bled...spongy pedal now

Thanks. It was actually the Dorman speed bleeder causing the issue. It was too short. Returned those and got some rusells and things are perfect. Just FYI, I have had awesome experience with speed bleeders. I don't have to annoy anyone to pump the brakes which is important to me.
  15. Rear calipers replaced and bled...spongy pedal now

I replaced the rear calipers recently. I left the rear calipers off for a while waiting for new ones to ship. I lost a lot of fluid due to that. I went ahead and did a speed bleed of the rear calipers starting with the right rear. I *think* that the master ran dry by leaving the calipers off but...
  16. Have to turn the key about 50 times to start the car sometimes.

Thanks for all of the info and likely fixes!
  17. Have to turn the key about 50 times to start the car sometimes.

Lol! Thanks for the help. Gives me a few ideas to go on. Ignition switch. Will a 1g ignition switch work? I have a few 1g's laying around that I can try but in the end don't I need to use a different key?...and yep eventually always starts.
  18. Have to turn the key about 50 times to start the car sometimes.

About 40% of the time, I have to keep on turning the key to start the vehicle. I don't hear the starter relay clicking. I do hear something that sounds like a wave sloshing around from the front of the car when this is happening.I have never been stranded due to this and it has been going on...
  19. Installing new rear calipers with stainless steel brake lines?

Thanks all. It wasn't as big a nightmare as I thought it would be but your tips really helped.
  20. Installing new rear calipers with stainless steel brake lines?

My rear caliper sliders froze up and I went the route of getting new rear calipers. There is alot going on at the same time during the install with the parking brake, shims and brake pads trying to fall out etc., so I want to reduce any hassles that I can. There are stainless steel brake lines...

  23. Rear brake hassles

Thanks....hung on my donor car too!
  24. Rear brake hassles

Thanks for the help!Things are going well except for the fact that I noticed the slider pin is stuck. Unfortunately it's the one without the head. Any idea how to get the caliper to move so that I can get it out?I have been beating on the caliper area near it and the surface to no...
  25. Rear brake hassles

Thanks for the quick help.Trying to visualize this. It is helpful. I have been turning for maybe 3 total minutes and that piston is nowhere near flush with the caliper. Sure, without the proper tool there is alot of slipping, but it does have me wondering.
  26. Rear brake hassles

I got a set of front/rear cross drilled slotted with ceramic pads Ebay specials to put on my 91 GVR4.I am having lots of trouble with the rears. I have done rear pads on this car before but don't remember things being so difficult.I removed the only rear slider bolt I could find (the other...

  30. Firewall Grommet locations

    Thank you brother.
  31. What color hood might go nice on a BG GVR4?

That is actually not a bad idea. Thanks.
  32. Firewall Grommet locations

Went to replace my speedometer cable today but I can't get it through the firewall hole because of all the wires I have going through there to support gauges and fuel pump rewirs etc. Guess this means that I have to redo all the wiring running through there which sucks. What are some other...
  33. Correct routing of speedo cable?

I found this. Hopefully this helps someone else.click
  34. Correct routing of speedo cable?

If anyone could sacrifice an under dash pic that would be helpful. I poked around google images and it was pretty dry. Luckily I have a DSM so I can grab the cable from it being that they are the same part. There is an image of the way the DSM cable is routed, just want to make sure it's...
  35. What color hood might go nice on a BG GVR4?

Long story short. The carbon fiber hood I got years ago got clear coat peel years ago. I'd like to paint it another color besides BG.Any other colors you think might go nice? Thanks.
  36. Correct routing of speedo cable?

I did the clutch pedal assembly a while ago and I am getting the car back together.I couldn't figure out how the speedo cable is supposed to be routed so I just took a rough stab at it and ended up breaking the speedo cable at the trans.Anyone have a good description of how it is supposed...
  37. Fuel supply line to filter messed up

Good idea. Going to roll with that. Thanks.
  38. Fuel supply line to filter messed up

The fitting going to the stock filter has a few issues. The fitting going into the bottom of the filter was rusted really tight and took vice grips to remove so the fittings head is not in great shape. Just when I thought I would get away with reusing it, I tightened it up and noticed a leak...
  39. Getting out of DSM(s) but want to keep any relevant parts for my GVR-4

They weren't but thanks! Half shaft?Oh and DSM steering wheel. I think they are a bit smaller so would probably weigh less but might block my view of the instrument cluster.
  40. Getting out of DSM(s) but want to keep any relevant parts for my GVR-4

Thanks for that...great points! In part, so many degraded harnesses on my GVR4.
  41. Getting out of DSM(s) but want to keep any relevant parts for my GVR-4

I have a few 1g DSM(s) laying around (1gb FWD and 1gb AWD) that I am going to part out and get rid of. Before getting rid of them I want to make sure that I am not missing anything that would work on my GVR-4.I know that there an infinite amount of parts that won't and will interchange but...
  42. Damaged this part when removing steering wheel.

I damaged this when removing the steering wheel from the steering column. It came from the steering column but the car is not that functional right now and would hate to put everything back together only to find that I damaged a critical part. This is the best that I could do. Tried to add...
  43. Alarm Installation

I like these ideas. Leaning towards the radio idea. Less intrusive. Just gotta be 100% sure that I can get the wires OVER the pedal assembly by doing this. Too many years of wiring alarms....burnt out! Thanks.
  44. Clutch pedal assembly

    Thanks.
  45. Clutch pedal assembly

Please expand. I'd like to know as well.
  46. Alarm Installation

I installed an alarm with remote start and turbo timer years ago that worked out really well for me until my pedal assembly failed and had to be re-welded and rebuilt by JNZ tuning. Then I installed the pedal assembly again and it bent. This happened 4 times at $200 a pop until I found out that...
