  11. Oil filter sandwich plates!

Thanks for the reply, looks like you were using the factory coolant sandwich there? Good idea with the divot/bolt to hold it in place!
  12. Oil filter sandwich plates!

    1. Mind sharing what plate or plates you have used?2. As far as circulating filtered oil it shouldn't be an issue as the plan is to only use it to circulate oil (thermostatically controlled) through the cooler, not to feed oil to a turbo or anything.
  13. Thank you Hertz & Galantvr4.org

David,Welcome to the communityYou can read through and pick out what maintenance and modifications to start with but I would just like to say that in my opinion these cars are at their best probably around the 400whp mark. As was mentioned previously, once the car has been sorted making...
  14. Oil filter sandwich plates!

Recently there was a thread in which people were discussing how their oil systems were routed, which filter housing they used, what they used to make it all work, and oil filter sandwich plates/filter relocation plates were brought up. One (or more) members expressed concern and stated that they...
  15. Which OFH should I run?!

I had a little clearance issue on my old 1G and ended up running a '90 OFH w/cooler but simply relocated the oil filter itself with this adapter, some lines, and this filter mount. That specific mount let me run a Ford Mustang (large 3001 style) filter though you could get one to suit the...

  19. KOYO radiator options

Quoting KiNgMaRtY: The HH cores are new and are replacing the R's. supposedly cools just as good and slimmer. The HH series uses a higher fin density in order to slim down their radiators, which can be a bit of a compromise; on the one hand, it's thinner and whatnot buuuuuuut not having all...

  24. FS: 1988 JDM RHD Galant VR4 - FL - $9,800 - 100% OEM STOCK

Heh, wait 'til the see the underside of the red/grey car A thing (or car in this case) is worth what someone is willing to pay, and the owner can price it however they like. That being said and as I've mentioned before, GVR4s go for next to nothing in Japan, look at their sold at auction...

  27. First engine build

I've owned both the fluidampr, and the ati superdamper. The difference is the fluidampr uses the stock lower timing gear/cog, and the ATI comes with it's own cog which some people (who are much smarter and have made much, much more power than myself) have mentioned is superior. Also, the old...

  29. FS: NIB Ross Pistons (Update with lower price!)

Don't assume that just because you don't understand something simple that others don't as well. The .827 is the pin wall thickness, the 2.5 is the length of the pin, and the DBL, well that sounds a lot like double right? You're a sharp fella though right, I'm sure you can figure it out from...
