A while back I said I'd post the wiring diagrams of JDM climate,

So here they are. Dude with your RHD '89 VR4, and the sold wing you'll want to be saving these!

So here goes.
I'm waiting for mitsubishi to fill in the gaps on the config diagrams so I'll post these as a follow up.

I'm talking about the ORIGINAL JDM wiring schematics for the ECU-to-Cyclone connections, including the vacuum line routing too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I was thinking the same thing,

The cyclone intake was fitted to 1991.8 to 1992 European 2l gti na models, I'll scan th vac diagram and post, I just have to remember which lump its in. My manual is in 5 3" thick volumes and covers all but JDM. covers Europe, GCC, middle east,Hong kong, Austrailia and NZ.
NZ markets are closest to JDM spec because of the low low low production runs.

I also have the schematics for the "JDM" headlight wiring, all versions...! These were fitted allover except europe.

Do you guys have JDM caps?

Would be willing to trade a copy for the Galant Tech Manual.

Any other requests and I'll see what I can do..

could you post these up? i am going to need to make it seem like my car has DRLs (for inspection). I have a 1991 JDM VR4. I am planning on running a wire from a constant power source to the low beam wire so headlights are on all the time. All I need to know what color the low beam wire is and where it is under the dash.

thanks

Or you can go to canadian tire and get a universal DRL kit for ~25$. How did you imprt it into CDN? Do you have to make any more adjustments? I heard that they also require you to have the rear baby seat anchors intalled as well.

you live in vancouver.. haven't you seen any rhd vehicles driving around? but anyways, the only modification i need to make is DRLs. The car also has to be safe, so no rust holes, boots and joints need to be in good shape, aftermarket exhaust needs a dB test. I have spoken to those who have already gone through the process and all in all it is very easy.

anyone know what color the lowbeam wire is?

thanks

Here's the headlights

Genral export first, It's how the JDM headlight power is wired!

Here's the northern european version. These have DRLS.

Here's the DRL circuit:

Hope this helps..

Dear Richard,
My name is Oleksandr. Pleased to meet you.

I am living in Berm, Switzerland and i own Mitsubishi Galant E3 1989 car, which i am restoring now. The car has an air-conditioner that works pretty well, but i would like to rebuild to a climate control, like RHD JDM VR-4 has.
I found some of your posts on the forum and would kindly ask if you can share the JDM VR-4 manual from where you took a screenshots of the A/C for VR-4.
Scans are posted in this topic: https://www.galantvr4.org/threads/climate-conrol-wiring-scans-big.385/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

As you can see page 4-174 is also missing :(

Many appreciations in advance.
Kind regards, Oleksandr

Thank you very much for the update.
I have checked and unfortunately i cant open pictures by clicking on it. I can open pictures in a new tab but the size is too small to read anything there.
Maybe i do something wrong?
Can i kindly ask what was the source of these pictures? I can see its a scan from a fabric, well translated book. Isn't it?

Ok. UBB code has got messed up and it doesn't look like the old posts.. bugger. It's scans from a monster folder, and the wiring stuff is from original books.
Can we get an admin to restore the first post here?
The images are linked back in the top post again. One is missing, can't have been a sequential upload:

@Olek.
Here is the self Diagnosis Stuff (3 pages), The full shop manual section on the Climate is 37Pages. The wiring colours are all the same across JDM, EDM, LHD and RHD. You may find fuse assignment changes as the fuse block and the power distribution evolves. On my stand in car before it got cut up, I fitted the interior climate control stuff, but not the A/C stuff as I wanted the temp set, it just couldn't cool. The fancontrol side is the same (A/C and Climate).

I hope this helps

Dear @misterfixit
Many appreciations to scanned and shared documentation. I will need some time to take a look and revise all the part i have before starting building up the climate (better to say modify A/C to climate).
I will update my status here later on and will let you know if something else is needed.
Kind regards and thank you for your time effort to help
