Grab a EGR blockoff plate from any 1G DSM with the 1.8L NT motor. They all have them, and they're either really cheap, or free.

If I were you, id address that mystery bolt issue first. If there is a nut on the backside of it (inside the runner) and that decides to come off, it will go right into the turbo and it will be ruined.
