Rein3003

Hi people, I'm Rein. I'm 20 years old and I live in Belgium.

Sadly we didn't get the VR-4 over here, but I do own a mint-condition 1989 galant glsi. It's a 2.0 non-turbo 4G63 model with just under 100k miles on it.

The story behind it is that my grandfather owned it since 1993. He was a farmer and bought it to be his Sunday car to drive to church. Later on, it became his daily. He drove it up until the end of last year when he decided to stop driving at the age of 96. When I tried to pull the car out of the garage in January it didn't run. I asked my grandfather if he ever wanted to sell his car that I would be interested in it, and after he thought about it for a while I got the car for free. But only if I could get it to run. With no background in working on cars, I started searching for the issue, no spark. After a long search, I found out it was some kind of transistor for the coil. Got it running and found out the head gasket was leaking, so I replaced the head gasket and I also replaced the belts and a bunch of other gaskets. It now runs great and it's back on the road. I still don't know what to do with it though, probably just put some nice wheels under it and lower it a bit.
