This used to be my car.. sadly it appears the guy that sold it to you removed the 20G turbo that i had custom built and installed. That 20G turbo was easily making 35 lbs of boost as well.

No leaks and threads perfect. Just have excess surface area on the oil filter housing. Cool.

Well the one I purchased was supposed to be for a 91 eclipse GSX.. The Galant VR4 filter is the only really big one I have seen and is not stocked as much in auto parts stores.. Can I get away with using the smaller oil filter? or will bad things happen?

It's skinnier.. seems a tad shorter too.

Does anyone here use the smaller DSM oil filter?

Well I purchased the Euroexport tool and removed my valves.. I have to admit that it's quite a good tool. It does make the job a bit tedious cause you have to completely remove the bolt when going to the next valve spring, and every 4th one you need to remove the entire tool.Thanks for advice...

Congrats on the purchase of your VR4.. Almost sounds as if your wastegate actuator might be on its last leg if your not seeing full boost until 5k RPM. However you could have a exhaust leak as well prior to the turbine wheel. Faulty BOV as well could be a culprit.. Where are you measuring boost...
