Been working on my galant lately, planning to daily drive it for a bit and ordered up a big scirocco radiator as my old radiator was leaking. Looks like the inlet at the bottom is a larger diameter than stock and the top hose will be a slightly different path than stock.

What are you guys with scirocco rads doing about hoses? Any nice silicone solutions? Running hoses you found at the parts store?

Thanks!

When I get things set up I'll take some pics, it's been a long time.

Are you running an afco or griffin rad? The afco has a 1-1/4" inlet and outlet (which is what I have) and you can use the stock lower hose. I picked up a straight piece of reinforced hose (asked for semi truck rad hose), 1-1/4", and used that for my upper. You need just over a foot of hose.

You may be able to do the same for a griffin rad. I believe they have a 1-3/8" connection for the lower hose.

Damn, my AFCO has 1 3/4 outlet and 1 1/2 inlet. I used universal hoses form Orielly.

Bottom I used an aluminum tube with a fitting for the factory fan switch and a -6AN with a cap so I had a drain.

I have an s2 8valve scirocco and the upper hose is damn near identical its just a little longer I think and it had a little bit more of a kink in it. I ran it on my vr4 for a few weeks until I ordered one from mitsu.
