I am pretty sure this is a wild goose chase, but does anybody know where to find wheels in 15" 4x114 in 7.5 width to max out the solo2 stx class that aren't insanely expensive?

The other question is, do I really need that half inch or should I settle with 7" wide?

I know I should just "upgrade" to 5-lug, but I just don't want to right now, but I just might have to for this.

Check the 4 lug Ford, IIRC the Foxbody, Mustang, Thunderbird are a 114.3 x 4 lug pattern. draw back is they are RWD, so the back spacing is off.

As far as escorts,Focus and other FWD Fords, I am not sure.

Depends on what you mean by NEED that extra half inch. I assume you are looking at the same tire size regardless of wheel size? Edit: Certainly has its advantages, increased sidewall support, greater air volume in the tire so not only more ability to adjust tire pressure but more consistent pressure throughout the run.

Oh and off the top of my head since my buddy and I were discussing the same thing the other day, Kosei K1, TR Motorsports C1, and SSR Competition. On the pricier end of the scale, RPF-1 or TE-37. What weight did you have in mind? When we discussed it we were aiming for sub 13lbs. I know it is a lot of searching, but try scrolling through wheelweights .net

I would probably run the same size tire no matter what so probably a 215 but might go 225 if I can find something.

I also was looking in to ~15lbs or below in weight, but I will check out wheelweights to find something. The only thing I have been noticing is that companies will list that they make 7.5 wheels, but they will be out of stock with no plans on making new (i.e. TE37).

Like I said, I will probably just do 7s for convenience but wanted to get ideas. So thank you that.

Just talked to my buddy, he decided on the TR motorsports, tire rack doesn't list them in 7.5 online anymorr, but some still avalible if you call them. So idk what you are looking at but if you do decide on those you will have to give them a call.

I called tirerack about the trmotorsport rims and they don't have them in 15x7.5 4x114. The guy I was talking to said he would search since he has nothing better to do, but it is going to take him 3-4 days as he has to search through all the wheels. I doubt I will hear back from them.

I did find out that the Enkei ES tarmac came in this size, but no luck finding anything yet. Some guy was trying to sell his set back in 2008 from his world fastest galant vr4
