ha ha, hood alignment; so much fun! I did this on my velle and remember you did things opposite of what you would think to get the alignment right; like when you add a washer it lowers it, sort of thing...hard to explain, but didn't make sense until I did it...If your hinges are worn/loose (the pivot), then you may want to get some tighter/new (if avail) hinges, to eliminate any excessive tolerances there. And have a lot of patience, lol. Body panels are PITA! especially on ~20 year old cars.
