afpr - gauge in side 6AN not front npt

newb question again on AFPRs. i've never had to touch one before.

My mount location won't allow even a fitting up front on the 1/8 NPT. I might move it -but it looks like I could also tap into the unused 6AN side inlet no problem, with something like this. Any reason I wouldn't do that, besides the color?

Just seal everything properly. Make sure the fitting to the FPR is snug and add some teflon paste to the threads on the gauge when you thread it in.
