Transparent dsm is right you need air fuel and spark plus compression for a motor.Also check your fuses and relays sometime when hard starting the mpi fuse will blow.

That's how I did mine but the op wants a down firing turbo.

When you reclocked the turbo the compressor out let wasn't running directly into your motor mount?I could've sworn I tried that and my mount was in the way, I do have a custom tubular manifold so that could be another reason why it didn't work.

A down firing turbo will not work with an ETS FMIC designated for a VR-4. Especially if you have radiator in stock location. You could probably make a down firing turbo work but you would literally have to cut a ton of sh*t out of your car.

2600 that's a lot it almost sounds like your in aftermarket territory at that price. Then again prices on everything have gone way up, you ever here of Loya Built? He's in S.D. I think plus he may have some spare transmissions.Good luck!

I think the 4g63 oil filter are the same on the montero and some other mitsubishis. Can't remember off the top of my head which models but I'm pretty sure the montero is one of them.

Sounds like a Hallman all the way turned out, some times they take a few turns to actually start putting pressure on the spring.Just take it slow eventually the boost will go up.
