well, here in MN it got down to -30 degrees farenheit(sp). My battery light came up and I thought it was just the cold.
Yesterday, it was just about 30 degrees(F) and the battery light is still on. I checked the fluids, brake lines, alternator, battery life and everything else that is battery related and my battery/electrical is just perfectly fine. I'm guessing it might have be related to my E-Brake system somehow. Has anyone ever gotten this? If it is related to the E-Brake system, can someone guide me to where and how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Check the charging voltage from the alternator.

That's usually a alternator issue but since you checked it already, it could be just the -30 degree temps.

When the battery light is on, do you get the ebrake light at the same time?

When mine did that it was both battery and ebrake together and it fluctuated between bright and dim. I replaced the alternator and the problem went away.

^^when you pull the E-brake up, the BRAKE light turns on. though, the lights are always on, even when im driving. NONE of the brakes are sticking to the rotors. no brake line leaks. yeah...

i replaced the alternator about 4 months ago because it went bad. tested out perfectly tonight again at 13-14 volts. could it be a faulty electric line that is related to the brake system?

PLUS, i forgot to add that i do have the ABS disconnected from the ABS motor because the ABS motor is making a whining noise, my guess that the ABS is shot and i'll need a new ABS motor(??). maybe that could be it?
