Hello all!

Picked this up early March of this year, out of pure luck. Ive always loved DSMs and really anything 4g63 powered, and always wanted a GVR4 to call my own. One day on a local forum, a fellow member mentioned he had #5 in his garage collecting dust. Few weeks later, i was the proud new owner of a SW '91 5/2000, and its been nothing but ear to ear grins mixed with the occasional curses and head shakes we all have experienced at the mercy of our MMCs.

The car came to me prettymuch as it sits now, with the exception of a few little things here and there. Mods thusfar consist of (prob going to forget a few things...)

Build head with Crower springs/retainers
BC101 272's
AEM EMS V1
Evo pink injectors
Evoiii 16g
Ported 2g manifold
Ported 2g o2
3" turbo back exh with Vibrant bullet muffler
Unknown SMIM
Tial 50mm BOV
Hallman MBC(set to 18@ purchase, now at 26 on 91 pump)
Bshafts removed
MLS HG(unknown, possibly evo8?)
ARP Headstuds(unknown grade/style/model)
Step colder NGKs
ACT racelight flywheel and 2600clutch
Redline heavyweight all the way through(by me)
Civic 3core 1/2 radiator (me)
Ground Control coil overs, corner balanced(by me)
AGX struts(blown, plan to replace with BCs next winter/spring)

Thats about all i can think of off of the top of my ead at the moment,so i'll move on to a couple pics.

How i got him:

Car also came with a bunch of extra parts, like the factory wheels and a few other tidbits.

Stock wheels before

Got some of these

i have some other plans for it as well, including this Garrett T67 and OBX ramhorn with Tial 38mm WG

Im hoping for around 450 on 91 pump as a minimum, which should be easy peasy with my 980s and Jeremy of Servion Tuning here in Colorado Springs at the EMS 1s and 2s. It'll still be a daily driver as well, with a .63 hot side until i can build a high comp bottom end and throw the .82 hot side and e85 at it(thats when the fun starts, right?).

Anywho, thats him and this is me. Comment away, and i'll be updating as i go here and there. Thanks for looking!

Super slow now, lag is rediculous comapred to the e3 16g that was on there prior. Need to get the new intercooler on and get to tuning it. 5lbs is what the wastegate was at without the boost controller hooked up. Now ive got it at about 14psi, which has the 560s at 60% duty cycle. I plan to mess with it a bit more tomorrow.

previous post was copied from my intro thread in the newbies section. Had a couple hiccups shortly after putting the T67 on, by way of pushing oil past the seals in the turbo, making it smoke Cheech and Chong style. Remedied that with a -3 feedline from the head, and it's been fine since. Now running about 14lbs, full boost around 5k, IDC at about 60% which isnt too shabby for the pink 560s in it, AFRs seeing a fat n happy 11.2-4:1 so far. I plan to hit the dyno as soon as I can get some things sold, also have a different charge pipe/FMIC setup in mind.

Comment away!

leave the slicks on for LOLs haha. Would be interesting to see the fitment of them, the offset is aggressive but I guess the 7" width will mean they wont stick out too far.

It is a bit aggressive, but the spacing is basically perfect. They dont poke out at all, and with the 215s on there now theyre even with the factory flair on the fenders more or less. If i run 225/50s ill wind up havig to roll the fenders a bit, but im ok with that. They dont stick out past the side panels so either, so i wont have to be one of those madtyteyo JDM hellafukt guys either lol.

Im most likely going to go with a 205/55 like whats factory on the T/E/L simply because theyre easier to find, and cost effective. Ideally id like to get some Azenis 615k or Nitto Neogens for them, but realistically with the power im most likely going to be making ill benefit most from DRs like 555s or the pricey but completely worth it BFGs. Sooooo much i want to do with it, with so little time and an even smaller wallet!!

Ive even contemplated selling my '06 Daytona 675 to fund the build, but really cant see myself going through with it. Because when this thing breaks or gives me a hard time, throwing a leg over the bike and disappearing for a few hours ALWAYS helps.

Love/hate. Am i right, or am i right?

Thanks! It was fairly scratched up when i got it, as expected for a $200 Magnus. That with a little 2k grit wetsanding and rubbing compound, not even the supergloss aluminum polish i have.

I plan to clean everythin up a LOT once i get the T67 setup finalized and tuned. Then starts the wiring cleanup(nice, solid, well done connections where the speed density was installed. The wires arent ran in the best/cleanest way and its REALLY bothering me)and other details under the hood. Im also going to be wrapping the exhaust manifold, downpipe and possibly charge pipes, if not just the hotside shortly. The amount of heat this manifold throws off is absolutely redonkulous, also not good for my alternator....

Im also contemplating picking up an aftermarket EVO 8/9 turboback i found on craigslist for $200. Ive been doing some comparos, and i think i can get it to work with relative ease on our cars.....

Thank you, sir!

Not really. In stopped traffic in 90+ weather itll run slightly warm until the fan kicks in, but its been just fine. Its only a 2core as well, not the triple core like i thought. I really only went with the covic radiator because my stock one failed and i couldnt find a replacement for it other than a civic radiator. BUT, given its orientation and how well it works, it was a good decision for me.

YIKES!

Been a while since I updated, quite a bit has changed....

I'll have to take and post a bunch of pics later, but so far I've:

Installed VRSF 1g intercooler kit

replaced front rotors

upgraded fuel feed and filter

purchsed D2 full coil overs

Bought tires for the COmpomotives

installed roof rack

....uuhhhmmmmmm....

Yea!

So, there ya go! Pics to follow!
