What the hell was mitsubishi thinking when they made the clutch switch to start? Why wouldn't they just have a solid clutch arm instead of that circle? What goes in the circle? I must get a replecemnt because I looked stupid the other day. I stalled on a hill, had to get out of car to turn car back on. My penny and duct tape didn't hold up
You want to disable it because when starting the car, you're putting unnecessary pressure on the crank thrust bearing. Not to mention, the thrust isn't fully lubricated on initial startup. For the most part, the clutch switch is just a typical factory safety feature required for a production vehicle to be sold to the masses. Unless you're using it to enable NLTS or something, it's worthless. If you want to ensure longevity, unplug that shit.
the reason i asked about catch can and breather filter, because i was tryig to track down a leak. I have been losingoil pretty steady and its been drivving me nuts. i removed the air filter to the turbo and inspected the turbine, no play so thats good. futher inspection showed me my leak. It seems my oil return fitting on the turbo is leaking. Its been raining a bit so i havent tried to get something in there to just tighten it if thats the problem. im curious if there is some kind of gasket that goes from turbo to line.
