I'm in the middle of getting 62 back on her feet but I am also in a money crunch.

I won't put anything but an OEM head gasket on, but what about all the other ones? Do I really need to spend $230 on an all-OEM kit when a Fel-Pro or similar kit goes for waaaaay cheaper?

Hit me up with a pm listing what gaskets you need. I've always ordered extras when doing a build and would like to see them put to good use. But to answer your question I've always used OEM Mitsu gaskets on my 4g builds, but have used Fel-pro on my F150 and the like with good luck. No experience with any other brands.

If it's just a stock rebuild you will probably be fine with an 'ordinary' replacement head gasket.

I've been using a cheapy for years with no issues.

NEVER use Nippon gaskets or seals, I rebuilt the whole motor with em, had to redo EVERY Seal and gasket, hopefully right now the Rear Main seal holds, Thats the one I dont want to have to replace.

If you do go with an after-market gasket kit at least get the oem metal intake manifold gasket instead of the using the paper one. Also use sealant only to seal the oil pan and not the thick cork gaskets that they usually send. A mitsu front case gasket is a good idea as well along with the head gasket that you already mentioned.
