After installing the correct engine brackets for a manual trans my exhaust no longer fits. The down pipe bangs against the body. The way I see it I have two choices. I can cut the first hanger and flange off after the down pipe and reposition them or use this as an excuse to ad a resonator where the cat would normally reside.
If I Chose to add a resonator these seem like common choices:
#1142 Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet Resonator 3" x 10"
or
#1794 Vibrant Performance Exhaust Resonator 3" x 12"
Has anyone installed an 1142 in the cat position that can tell me how it fits and sounds? It seems like it may be a tight fit and I might just go with the 1794 so I don't run in to further issues.
Are there any other inline resonators I should consider?
