So I voltage regulator went on my alternator and caused my headlights to blow out. I replaced my alternator but now my fuel pump sounds different.

Could high voltage from my alternator ruin my fuel pump? It doesn't seem to be acting any different but the whine you normally hear sounds different now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The water pump is belt driven only. Check your belt to make sure it didn't get damaged. The wine is likely coming from that.

Side note. Check the voltage and make sure its where its supposed to be. My alt connector broke/got melted and fried the entire chasis harness. Nothing worked right until I replaced it.
