SOLD for $8,101: White VR4 #870: 68K: NYC: Near Mint! SOLD

I thank everybody for the positive responses and compliments about this car.

The first person to insist on seeing this car also offered to pay in full for the car before even actually seeing it. Because of this, I felt obligated to let him see the car first. He saw the car and paid in full for the car at that meeting. The car is everything, and more, that the advertisement said it would be.

The new owner may provide a link to my web page (while it is still on the internet) for those that want to continue to see the extensive description and numerous photos.

PS: BEFORE posting this car on GalantVR4(.)org, I made a $40 donation to the GalantVR4(.)org web site for good luck (Good luck for me AND the buyer). If you have been selling on this web site and you have not yet ever made a donation, CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION TODAY!

I saw your car earlier today. I like it very much. You did a great job modifying it.

Must be great fun to drive.

I can't remember your name, but I remember calling you YEARS ago to talk about Galants. You put me in touch with Doug Thomas.

Still a great looking car; I think I still have pictures of it from a REALLY old article.

Best of luck with the sale!

Nate

Hi Nate:

My name is James and, yes we spoke years ago.

Earlier today I was wondering if the Nate listed here was you. I'm happy to see that you kept up with the VR-4s.

I still drive mine every now and then. Recently, I came out of a Citibank branch, and in the parking lot two men were looking over the VR-4. They wanted to know if it was REALLY a VR-4, or were the labels on the car just for looks. The people that know about the car still beep the horn or wave while I'm on the road.

It's set with a negative 3-degrees front and rear camber, so, for example, today I ran along a very twisty road to enjoy some lateral g-forces and, also, exercise the engine and suspension system. I've never raced it on the track, but I've had a lot of fun with it on the winding roads.

Thanks for sending the PM,
James

Wow, there can't be many of these cars still kicking around in this condition. The new owner will be very, very lucky.

I have to say - this car is a rare jewel and the mod list while simple is impressive and many of these parts are rare....Very impressive!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worthy.gif My hat is tipped to you sir, I never thought I would see the day a GVR-4 would be wearing a clean set of HRE's; a true time machine. Really is a bargain, all the era specific boutique parts alone could fetch a pretty penny. Not to mention how clean the car is with low mileage, documentation and matching #'s. Someone will be getting a museum piece...that bastard, haha.

looks nice! Original paint? Driven in winter?

RE: looks nice!
REPLY: Thanks. For a while, I thought I was driving a Ferrari because of the attention the car was given.

RE: Original paint?
REPLY: Yes, the paint is original.

RE: Driven in winter?
REPLY: I have always driven a Jeep during the winter during the past 20 years. HOWEVER, on those few winter days when a big snowstorm hit, I was on the road, or in a very large parking lot, having lots of fun with the VR-4.

BTW, the town in which I live, the Town of North Castle (the U.S. Post Office in the town is Armonk, NY 10504) puts sand on its roads during the winter, and does NOT use salt on its roads. I've been told it's to protect the vegetation, and not the vehicles. The sand is reclaimed from the roads by the highway department town sweepers in the spring.
